Master of Medical Management Degree Transcripts
Follow the detailed instructions below to successfully submit your undergraduate and medical school transcripts to Heinz College as part of your application for admission to the Medical Management (MMM) program.
Physicians who earned a Bachelor's degree prior to starting medical school must have an official undergraduate transcript or transcript evaluation report from your degree-granting institution submitted as described below. You will add this institution to the Academic History page of your application with "level of study" = "Undergraduate" and "degree" = "Bachelor's or equivalent". You may upload an unofficial transcript, but this is not required as you must have an official transcript submitted as described below. Foreign medical school graduates who did not earn a Bachelor's degree prior to starting medical school are not required to report a "Bachelor's" institution.
All MMM applicants are required to submit official documentation confirming completion of their MD or DO (or equivalent foreign medical degree) via an official transcript (submitted by the degree-granting institution) or via the FSMB (FCVS report) or the ECFMG Credential Verification services (different from the ECFMG certificate that foreign medical grads receive as part of obtaining a medical license in the U.S.). You will add this institution to the Academic History page of your application with "level of study" = "Medical School".
We must receive the OFFICIAL transcripts (or transcript evaluation reports) for the education described above before your application will be considered complete.
See below for detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to submit your transcripts or transcript evaluation reports for your bachelor's or medical degree from institutions within the United States, your bachelor's degree from institutions outside the United States, or your medical degree or MBBS degree from institutions outside the United States.
Bachelor's and Medical Degree Transcripts from Institutions within the U.S.
If you list an institution on your application that is located within the United States, your transcripts must be sent to Heinz College in an official format.
If possible, we prefer electronic delivery of transcripts.
When ordering a transcript for a school that utilizes the Parchment or another service that allows you to select a recipient from a list, please be sure to select the listing for Carnegie Mellon University that includes "Heinz College".
If your school does not allow you to select a recipient from a list: the transcript(s) should be sent directly from the registrar of the institution to this email address: heinz-transcripts@andrew.cmu.edu.
If electronic delivery is not available, please see "Delivery by Mail (Printed/Paper Transcripts)" below.
Those transcripts that are mailed to Heinz College must be enclosed in a sealed, unopened envelope, signed across the seal by the registrar's office, and mailed to the following address:

Bachelor's Degree Transcripts from Institutions Outside the U.S.
If your undergraduate degree is from an institution that is located outside of the United States, we would prefer that you use an academic credential evaluation service to obtain a course-by-course report. The academic credential evaluation service will then send this course-by-course report directly to Heinz College either electronically or by mail.
We recommend that you use one of the following three academic credential evaluation services to submit your course-by-course report to Heinz College. Please see below for detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to use each service, or additional instructions on what to do if you choose to use a different credential evaluation service.
At minimum, please select the Course-by-Course Report from Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE). To keep your costs to a minimum, be sure to select the following options:
Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy - Carnegie Mellon University
"No Rush Service"
Please use the online form to request the required Course Analysis report.
For more information, please visit: SpanTran Evaluation Services.
At minimum, please select the BASIC Package and the course-by-course evaluation from World Education Services (WES). Be sure to select the following options:

- Department = Heinz College of Info Systems and Public Policy - Office of Admission
- Under "Turnaround Time," select 7-Day Service
We will accept evaluations from any NACES member. Medical Degree or MBBS Degree Transcripts from Institutions Outside the U.S.
If you list an institution on your application that is located outside the United States for your MD or MBBS, your transcripts must be sent to the Heinz College in an official form by one of the following three organizations: 1. the institution itself, 2. the FSMB (FCVS report) or 3. the ECFMG Credential Verification Service (different from the ECFMG Certificate). Please see below for detailed instructions on successfully submitting your Foreign Medical Degree transcripts via any of these options.
If you would like to have your Federation Credentials Verification Service (FCVS) Report sent to Heinz College from the FSMB, which should include official documentation of your medical education, please contact the FSMB to have your FCVS report sent by email to heinz-transcripts@andrew.cmu.edu.
If you would like to use the ECFMG Credential Verification service (different from your ECFMG Certificate), please contact Bridget Jakub in the Heinz College Office of Admissions at jakub@andrew.cmu.edu or 412-268-2164 for additional information.
If you are a physician practicing outside the United States, you may use an academic credential evaluation service to obtain a course-by-course report for undergraduate education completed outside the United States. Please see the "Bachelor's Degree Transcripts from Institutions Outside the United States" section above for detailed instructions on using an academic credential evaluation service to submit your medical school course-by-course report.
If possible, we prefer electronic delivery of transcripts from institutions themselves. The transcripts should be sent directly from the registrar of the institution (if your institution offers this service) to heinz-transcripts@andrew.cmu.edu.
Those transcripts that are mailed to Heinz College from institutions themselves must be enclosed in a sealed, unopened envelope, signed across the seal by the registrar's office, and mailed to the following address:
