Beyond Job Postings
We're here to help you develop a recruiting strategy or event for your organization.
Meet With Heinz College Students Today
At Heinz College, we offer many opportunities beyond job postings for you to meet with our students. Whether you are interested in meeting with students one-on-one, reaching thousands of students at a job fair, connecting with a broad audience, or targeting specific interests or skill sets in your recruitment, we are here to help you engage with our students in ways that best meet your organization's current and long-term needs.
Below are a few examples of common opportunities to connect with students at Heinz College. We would love to help you develop a recruitment strategy or event for your organization! Please contact Jocelyn Malik of the Reidy Career Center, at jmalik@andrew.cmu.edu to discuss and deploy strategies that are tailored to your specific organizational needs.
Let students know about career opportunities at your organization, or give a "tech talk" or educational presentation on a professional topic that is relevant to your field. Information Sessions take place during our students' 12 p.m. lunch break. This is a great opportunity for you to recruit Heinz College students directly or spread awareness of your brand and professional sector.
Hamburg Hall features a suite of interview rooms that are reserved for organizations who wish to meet with and interview our students. We offer the rooms free of charge for prospective employers, and we can schedule a series of interviews at dates and times that are convenient for recruiters from your organization.
Office Hours at Heinz College provide you with an opportunity to get to know our students in small groups or via one-on-one meetings. These 15-minute sessions are more casual than formal interviews, and they offer you a chance to field student questions in a laid-back setting. Most organizations choose to hold Office Hours immediately following a lunchtime Information Session.
Heinz College and Carnegie Mellon University host numerous career fairs throughout the academic year, at our main campus in Pittsburgh and throughout the United States. Learn more about upcoming career fairs and RSVP to attend.
We invite you to volunteer your time and expertise in conducting mock interviews with our students. Mock interviews help you gain visibility for your organization within our student population, and they help our students gain and improve valuable interview skills.
Collaborate with our students on a semester-long project, solving a complex problem and working with potential hires. Learn more about capstone projects and submit a project proposal.
We invite you to host small groups of Heinz College students at your office. This is a great opportunity for you to introduce prospective employees to your organizational culture, and to give students a first-hand look at the skills they will need to thrive within your organization.
