Professional Development Funding Opportunities

Resources for Unpaid Internships and Conference Participation

Enriching your academic experience often extends beyond the classroom. To support your professional development, we offer two supplemental funding opportunities:

  • Internship Opportunity Fund (IOF): The IOF assists students undertaking required summer internships that are unpaid or low-paying and not eligible for Federal Work Study, with awards typically ranging from $500 to $4,000. Funding is contingent on your active participation in IOF. Find out more about the IOF.
     
  • Graduate Student Conference Funding: Conference Funding aids students presenting scholarly work at professional conferences by covering expenses like registration, travel, and lodging. Please note that these funds are limited and awarded through a competitive application process; therefore, funding is not guaranteed.
