Heinz College Fall Visitation
Fall Visitation is designed to give you a comprehensive view of graduate student life at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
You will have the opportunity to engage directly with our faculty, administrators, and current graduate students to explore everything Heinz has to offer; from our interdisciplinary curriculum and career development services to student life, financial aid, and life in the dynamic City of Pittsburgh.

For students interested in Arts Management, Entertainment Industry Management, or Public Policy and Management, Fall Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025.
For students interested in AI Systems Management, Health Care Analytics, Information Security Policy and Management, or Information Systems Management, Fall Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Fall Visitation Details
Fall Visitation will be held on November 7 for students interested in Arts Management, Entertainment Industry Management, or Public Policy and Management.
Fall Visitation will be held on November 21 for students interested in AI Systems Management, Health Care Analytics, Information Security Policy and Management, or Information Systems Management.
Both dates of Fall Visitation will have programming from 9 AM until 5 PM and include sessions on:
- Curriculum Overview
- Mock Classroom
- Career Services
- Student Life at Heinz
- Time with Current Students
- Admissions & Financial Aid
Heinz College is pleased to offer members of our Strategic Partner Organizations attending Fall Visitation a Travel Subsidy to assist in covering transportation costs.
Please note, the Travel Subsidy is only available for members of our Strategic Partner Organizations who will be traveling more than 200 miles round trip to Heinz College for Fall Visitation. You must be in attendance at Fall Visitation on Friday, November 7 (for MAM, MEIM, MSPPM programs) or Friday, November 21 (for AIM, HCA, MISM, MSISPM programs) to receive the Travel Subsidy. Additionally, the Travel Subsidy is only offered for ONE of the following methods of transportation:
- Airfare
- Bus Fare
- Train Fare
- Rental Car
- Personal Vehicle, reimbursed at $0.40 per mile traveled
Lodging and other ground transportation expenses (including taxi, Lyft and/or Uber fare) are not eligible expenses for the Travel Subsidy.
Airfare will be reimbursed up to $400. All other methods of transportation will be reimbursed up to $300.

There are many hotels in surrounding neighborhoods that provide quick and easy access to campus. The closest hotels will be located in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. CMU is located in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
