What can we help you find?

Become a Student Admissions Ambassador

Heinz College / Admissions and Aid / Become a Student Admissions Ambassador

Our current students are the best representatives of the impact Heinz College can have on someone’s life. Your enthusiasm in sharing your knowledge and experience with potential students plays an important part in the continued success of our programs, and in Heinz College’s standing among the world’s premier higher education institutions.

Many of our students seek out ways to actively participate in the recruitment process. In response to this interest, we created a resource for prospective students through which knowledgeable and enthusiastic alumni and students interact with rising graduate students considering Heinz College.

As an Admissions Ambassador, you can share your Heinz College experiences with our prospective students on the phone, over email, or in person. Not only does this provide an avenue for our graduates and current students to give back, it also extends the reach of the Heinz College Office of Admissions, which is becoming increasingly vital as our applicant pool grows each year.

You can choose to be a Traveling, Remote, or Digital Ambassador. We offer you the flexibility to help as much or as little as your schedule allows, with as many or as few of the below activities in which you would like to participate.

How can I help?

There are three different tiers of ambassadorship: Full Ambassador, Virtual Ambassador, and Digital Volunteer, each encompassing the responsibilities of the tier below. This is a one-year commitment. We offer you the flexibility to help as much or as little as your schedule allows, with as many or as few of the below activities in which you would like to participate:

As a Full Student Ambassador, you can:

  • Attend a graduate school fair with a Heinz Admissions Representative
  • Adopt a School: Visit career counselors and/or faculty members at your alma mater or at colleges and universities near you
  • Organize a Heinz College event in your city

As a Virtual Student Ambassador, you can:

  • Contact prospective students by phone or by email to tell them about Heinz College
  • Participate in a web-based information session (webinar) for prospective students

If you are interested in supporting our recruitment efforts, admissions will provide you with resources to help you answer prospective students’ questions, as well as templates to share important Heinz information, updates, and deadlines via social media.

No matter how you choose to be involved, your contribution greatly impacts our effort to bring in new, talented students!
